Carbaryl 4L is a broad spectrum foliar spray that offers a number of benefits: ease of application, short PHI, and no phytotoxicity.
Carbaryl has two distinct properties that account for its popularity: it has a very low mammalian oral and dermal toxicity and it possesses a rather broad spectrum of insect control.
Insects controled: aphids, leafminer, bagworms, beetles, moths, cankerworms, tip moth, Tussock Moth, eriophyid mites, gall midges, gall wasps, gypsy moth, hackberry nipplegall maker, lacebugs, leafhoppers, leafrollers, mealybugs, webworm, sawfly, oakworm, spittlebugs, plant bugs, psyllids, scales, budworm, tent caterpillars, thrips, elm bark beetle, pine bark beetles
Carbaryl L works quickly as a contact insectide.
Apply as the insect appears, for scales as the crawlers begin to appea.
Reapply at 10-14 day intervals for certain insects such as scales, leaf beetles, aphids, adelgids)
For Bark Beetles apply only preventively prior to adult flight period.
Carbaryl is a great tool for managing gall making insects.
