New research has discovered higher rates of Xytect (imidacloprid) were more effective in controlling difficult and deadly pests like the emerald ash borer on larger trees. Xytect is the only imidacloprid in the industry labeled with these higher rates, equally double (2X) the rate allowed by other products.
These findings now give the tree care industry a soil applied tool proven to be effective on larger trees, offering superior protection for high value, specimen trees. We recommend using this 2X rate on all trees larger than 15" in diameter and also on trees in high infestation areas. RTSA was a industry leader in this research, responding to the call from arborists to provide a protocol for protecting the big trees without having to cause the wounding associated with tree injection products.
