The study is looking at the various soil treatments used by arborists to promote root and soil health while quantifying the real benefits to trees. By all accounts, 2009 was a slower year for tree care but signs are pointing to a healthy return to normal for 2010. Start your planning by assessing your product use from this year and thinking where you want to be at this time next fall.

Planning for growth can mean planning to increase your client base by increasing your marketing presence. RTSA can help you with that with marketing tools such as sell sheets, door knob hangers, and direct mail post cards. Growth can also come from increasing the services you offer. We can ensure you have the tools, the training, and the inventory you need to make any new offering a success.

Talk to the Tree Healthcare Specialists at RTSA when you are ready to start thinking about next year. We'll partner with you to make it your best year yet.

Start Your 2010 Planning Now

Of course, if you are reading this you already know that! Xytect is the only imidacloprid in the industry labeled with these higher rates, equally double (2X) the rate allowed by other products.

These findings now give the tree care industry a soil applied tool proven to be effective on larger trees, offering superior protection for high value, specimen trees. We recommend using this 2X rate on all trees larger than 15" in diameter and also on trees in high infestation areas. RTSA was a industry leader in this research, responding to the call from arborists to provide a protocol for protecting the big trees without having to cause the wounding associated with tree injection products.

Now, for the first time in the industry, a new tool is available that allows treatment of these pests via soil injection.

Not only does it have impressive data for control against a wide variety of common tree pests, it is fast acting too. Lepitect gets to work in as little as 1-3 days on smaller trees and within a week or so on larger trees. This allows you to use this tool as a rescue, or "just-in-time" treatment in situations traditional soil applied products would be too late.

Read more about this versitile and valuable tool in our Arborceuticals section and check out this PDF on the research and uses of Lepitect:

Five Universities compiled all the available research and have compiled a publication entitled "Insecticide Options for Protecting Ash Trees from Emerald Ash Borer." This represents the most complete University recommendation to date for managing this devastating pest.
